Other anglers have fared better, with one chap arriving and catching a couple of fish literally 5 minutes into his brief session…
…and there was me and my friend, standing balls deep in cold water for 2 hours without a touch, I also discovered that the leak in my waders has not managed to ‘self cure.’
Okay, so we’ve blanked a couple of times. It’s no big deal really. I mean just look at what fishermen get to experience. The changing light, flat calm water, glorious sunsets, great conversations and companionship (not to mention the occasional fish), the list of good far outweighs the bad.
There will always be a next time and so long as fish live in the water, a red letter day is never far away. Let’s face it, you’ve got more chance of catching that fish of a lifetime than winning the lottery, so get out and enjoy every last moment you can. Fish like it’s the last time you’ll fish and all will be good with the world.
Tight lines everyone. May the fish of your dreams be but a cast away. xxx
